Susan E. Ward, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, LMT
Family Nurse Practitioner-Board Certified and Licensed Massage Therapist with over 20 years of combined experience in healthcare. Dedicated to holistic care and blending evidence-based medicine with integrative approaches, her work is driven by curiosity and compassion. Always open to learning, collaboration, and new challenges.
Susan has been providing therapeutic massage and bodywork for health, relaxation, and overall well-being since 2006. Trained in a variety of modalities, she offers nurturing, individualized treatments that help reduce stress, relieve pain, improve mobility, and restore balance. Her background includes work in spas, wellness centers, physical therapy clinics, and chiropractic offices. With an integrative approach, she blends clinical skill with intuitive care—built on trust, expertise, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to each client’s well-being. Every session is tailored to create a truly one-of-a-kind experience that supports both body and mind.
As a lifelong learner, Susan continues to pursue advanced training in massage therapy and holistic health to better serve clients. Her upcoming trainings for 2026 include an NCBTMB-approved 8 CEU class Hip Check: Addressing the Glutes, Piriformis and Psoas provided by Bloom Mountain Aromatics at the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy in Albany, NY and an NCBTMB-approved 28 CEU two-part series (four days) of professional training in Abdominal Massage Intensive (Level 1 + 2) provided by Core Connections VT at Balance Massage School in Duxbury, VT.
Other recent personal development experiences include a ten-day (100-hour) Vipassana meditation course at Dhamma Dhara Meditation Center in Shelburne Falls, MA (2025) and a thirty-day holistic wellness retreat at Zen Den Yoga School in Boca Raton, FL (2023), which incorporated yoga, meditation, nutrition, massage, acupuncture, Tai Chi, Qigong, and Ayurvedic medicine.
Outside her practice, Susan tends to wander the borderlands between movement, creativity, and stillness—usually with a backpack, sketchbook, or snack in hand. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, cycling, and occasionally testing gravity through Krav Maga and BJJ. When not outdoors, she likes to restore curious old objects, dive into medical research, or meditate just long enough to start planning her next adventure. She values honesty, curiosity, and quiet connections—and firmly believe that silence can be its own kind of conversation.
Located in Manchester Center, VT and White River Junction, VT.
